Heidi Freeman is the co founder of Glow Recruiting.  They specialize in staffing software engineers, a business whose goal is to provide her clients with premier service by capitalizing on their diverse technology backgrounds. Heidi leverages her expertise and broad network to quickly recruit exceptionally qualified candidates to work for their clients.  Glow is a global firm that finds exceptional, hard to find candidates, primarily for technology companies focused on financial services.  They specialize in senior roles in software engineering and professional services. Through their unique methods, they don’t just leverage personal networks, but leverage the power of social networks to bring you the premier candidate   Glow is dedicated to finding the right career opportunities for technical superstars. Developers are often so focused on the technology that they don’t focus on career opportunities. Heidi and  and her partner started Glow in order to change that. By building an inventory of “killer jobs” and finding those great technologists, they are able to create new, win/win opportunities for both candidates and clients.   They are constantly expanding their network of super star technical talent. They have the best pipeline of elite jobs for software engineers in the financial services industry.   Glow Recruiting was started to capitalize on the massive change that is taking place in the industry. Recruiting has historically been a boutique and local industry, dominated by small companies that personally know the talent in a geographic region. However, with the advent of social networks and third party credentials, technical recruiting now needs to be executed with a marketing led and global initiative.     Heidi graduated from the Bowling Green State University where she received her BS in Kinesiology and an Associates Degree in Art. Her company is based in New York City.   Heidi is fond of athletic activities, including basketball, snowboarding, volleyball, yoga and kickboxing. Heidi grew up in a small town in Ohio and was raised playing sports and rooting for Ohio sports teams, including: Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes!), and the Cincinnati Bengals.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends going to dinners, taveling, going to art exhibits, music festivals, comedy shows...enoying life to the fullest. Heidi is so grateful to have joined the entrepreneurial wave of starting her own business along with her best friend and business partner. Heidi loves to play sports and stay in shape in her spare time. Heidi loves playing, basketball, and softball, and volleyball, having been a volleyball player throughout her High School career. She likes to work out at the gym and particularly enjoys yoga and pilates as her core workout activities. She is a fervent reader, being a tremendous fan of inspriational books such as "The Power of Now," and "A New Earth,"  Heidi is also an active volunteer. She loves helping people whenever she can. As a general volunteer, she loves going to homeless shelters helping. She does additional community volunteer work and loves giving back to her community.
